Project Sweet Spot: The Magical World Of Work And Money

I have some questions for you to consider:

  • Do you love what you do for a living?
  • Do you feel like it expresses who you really are and what you stand for at the deepest levels?
  • Do you feel like you’re making the contribution you’re on the planet to make?
  • Are you working with people you enjoy, who feel aligned with you and what you’re about?
  • Does what you do for a living allow you the freedom to make choices with your time and work location that truly fit you, and the lifestyle that’s right for you?
  • Is your income a natural by-product of the value and service you provide, something that you’d be happy doing even if you weren’t paid for it?
  • Are you having any fun at work?

If not, why not? Do you believe it’s even possible to experience what you do for a living in this way? Or does it seem out of reach, impractical, and something that only a very few people – the rare exceptions – are lucky enough to experience?

Project Sweet Spot was created to break that greatly limiting, fatal-to-your-happiness belief by finding and showcasing as many people as possible who have successfully made the transition from traditional work (as either an employee or entrepreneur) to creating a thriving business around their unique passion, talents and preferences. In other words, they’ve stepped into their very own “Sweet Spot.”

Our mission is to inspire and educate anyone who wants to step into their unique Sweet Spot (everyone has one), but has no idea how they could possibly do it. We find real people who’ve done it – living examples and powerful role models – and share the compelling stories and practical lessons of how they did it, and how exactly you can make it happen for yourself.

Curious? Inspired? Skeptical? Then stay tuned. We’ll explore topics like:

  • What if you don’t know what you are meant to be doing, but you definitely know that it isn’t what you’re doing now?
  • How exactly do you finance a transition like this, especially if you have a mortgage and/or family to support?
  • What if you really want to make a change like this, but your family and friends will think you’re crazy?
  • How can you possibly create something new at a time in an economy like this?
  • Isn’t it kind of frivolous and self-centered to “follow your passion” and create work you love when there are so many serious challenges in the world?

We’ll be tapping into the practical wisdom that our role models have gained by experience about subjects like these, and many more. Our intention is to help as  many people as possible break down the barriers to successfully stepping into their own Sweet Spots, and thriving at what brings them most alive.

If you could ask any question about making this kind of transition into your Sweet Spot from someone who really knows, what would it be? And who would you want to ask?
